Unlocking international opportunities for an African entrepreneur

An African entrepreneur and business leader had embarked on a new phase in his career, establishing a proprietary investment holding company to make transformative investments in a range of sectors across the continent. The investment company was not yet recognised as a brand and needed to be positioned strategically in order to compete for deals and attract partners among leading global DFIs, institutional investors and corporates.

We worked directly with the Chairman and his executive team to develop and execute a leadership positioning strategy, primarily delivered through a tailored programme of government engagement, high-impact media relations, social media engagement and speaking opportunities at events such as the World Economic Forum, UN General Assembly and the US-Africa Business Forum. We secured public endorsement for the client by global influencers including the US Secretary of Commerce, UK Under-Secretary of State for International Development and leading corporates and garnered positive feedback for the opinion piece we placed in the Wall Street Journal on the eve of the inaugural US-Africa Leaders’ Summit.

Our client’s  investment company was able to successfully co-invest with its target partners and expand its portfolio across the continent, delivering jobs and services.
