Magdalene Kariuki

Magdalene is a public policy expert with over 15 years of experience in government affairs and stakeholder engagement, driving high-impact regulatory, developmental and policy outcomes. She designs and implements advocacy, policy reform and government relations strategies for a wide range of public and private sector clients, centred around accelerating progress towards the Sustainable Development Goals.

Before joining Africa Practice in 2022, she worked in the public policy and regulatory space working with private and public sector clients to develop conducive regulatory frameworks that support investment and economic growth. 

Magdalene is an advocate of the High Court of Kenya and a member of the East Africa Law Society, with certifications in climate change and sustainability, mediation, arbitration, migration policy, regional trade, gender studies, ICT law and policy, sports and entertainment law, and finance. She speaks fluent Kiswahili.
